Biography
Dr. Sheila Kendrick has been a counselor for the Houston County School District since 2007. Prior to coming to work in Houston County, she worked for the state of Georgia as a mental health counselor, as well as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Dr. Kendrick also worked at Robins Air Force Base as a Personnel Management Specialist and Human Resources Specialist.
She is a graduate of Peach County High School and holds a B.B.A. in Management, an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, and certification in School Counseling from Fort Valley State University. She also has an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Counseling from Valdosta State University and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies from Regent University.
Dr. Kendrick is a military veteran, having retired in 2003 as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force Reserve after 20 years of service. She spent her entire military career working in the Military Personnel Flight in various capacities including the Family Readiness element, which was responsible for supporting the families of activated and deployed troops. She is the mother of two successful adult children (son Jeremy and daughter Jaris), both products of the Houston County School system.
Dr. Kendrick enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and researching various topics. She is proud to be a C.B. Watson Warrior!
