The Houston County Board of Education has named Mrs. Monique Dawsey as the Principal of the C. B. Watson Primary School. Mrs. Dawsey currently serves as the Assistant Principal serving both C. B. Watson Primary School and Pearl Stephens Elementary School.

“I am so very excited and honored to be named the principal of C. B. Watson Primary School,” said Dawsey. “I am looking forward to continuing to grow relationships with the students, staff, families, and community. Thank you to Dr. Scott and the Board of Education members for the opportunity to lead C. B. Watson in this new role. It is great to be a Watson Warrior!”

Dawsey has been with the Houston County School District for over 20 years. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, Dawsey was an Achievement Specialist who taught reading and math to students in grades K-5. She has also been an early intervention program teacher, reading recovery teacher, and a classroom teacher.

Dawsey holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University, a master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University, and an Educational Leadership Specialist degree from Columbus State University.

Dawsey currently reside in Warner Robins where she lives with her husband and two children.
