My name is Leigh Barefoot, and I am a coming from an HR/Corporate Training background. My primary educational experience is in Adult Education (GED) as well as working with various music and theater summer camps over the years (since I was old enough to attend the same camps!). I also had the great pleasure of teaching Kindergarteners about strawberries at Lane Southern Orchards! I have my bachelor's in music from The Fort Valley State University and a Masters of Ed in Instructional Design & Technology from West Texas A&M University. I love sharing my love for music and those, “Ah ha!” moments from students of all ages! MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL!

Outside of the classroom, I work as Co-Founder and Secretary of The Sound and The Fury Alumni Band Organization (501c3) that works diligently to support The Fort Valley State University Blue Machine Marching Band in scholarships, fundraising, recruitment, musicianship, and anything else the students and band may need. Anime and all things nerd and scientific are my happy place, and I love to read and learn.
